Post Operative Breast Cancer Care Treatment
One in nine women will develop breast cancer at some point, and the risk is even higher for those over fifty years of age. Amazing developments in reconstructive surgery has meant that at least some of the emotional scars caused by preventive treatments can now be eradicated.
Clients that have undergone breast reconstruction tend to be missing one vital thing – the areola, and sometimes the nipple itself. Profiles offers a wide range of cosmetic camouflage treatments nipples and areola can be put back almost perfectly by sing micro pigmentation techniques. Scarring around any of the breast tissue or areola, can now also be corrected with the end result looking as natural as possible. If only one breast has had surgery work on, we work matching the colour and shape so they are as closely matched as possible. If both breasts are to be worked on, then it will firstly be discussed in great detail, then they are drawn on first, and sized, shaped and placed and coloured according to the clients wishes. The colour matching will be as natural as possible, using a range of peach, rose, pinks, beiges and brown tints, the nipple being several shades darker than the surrounding areola, with the outer edges lighter again, to blend with the breast tissue. A profile is one of only a few clinics to be fully qualified in CPC – Cosmetic Pigment Camouflage or medical tattooing. Specialists equipment is used which is recognized by the medical profession.
The whole process takes between 30 – 60 mins and due to the under predictability of scar tissue of scar tissue, clients / patients may require anything from one to four treatments.
